We are excited to be asked to provide our own contributions to the Hatch Double Bill‘s after-show party at Primary, Nottingham on Friday 26th October 2012. Our commanders in chief, Fourbeatwalk, say the following:

‘The Disaster Bar will be showing films, playing music and serving tinned food, bottled water and blankets. Escape the radiation/insect swarms/rising water levels with us.’

The after-show party starts at 8:30pm. Entry is free, but we must encourage you check out the preceding event:

Expect apocalypse themed visuals, decor, drinks, food and aura.

Thank you to I Am Lono and Hello Thor for inviting us to curate our own live visuals for their gig at One Thoresby Street featuring We Three and the Death Rattle, I Am Lono and Kagoule live. The venue looked amazing and all three acts incredible. We would write more but the Thatcher’s Gold took more of a toll than we realised. Photos courtesy of I Am Lono‘s Facebook page.

The Kneel Before Zod Video Club of Nottingham Club (formerly Kneel Before Zod, KBZ, KNLBFRZD, Neil Beforezod) present the first in their regular film events… DEAD AND BURIED.

As Wikipedia says…
Dead & Buried is a 1981 horror film directed by Gary Sherman, starring Melody Anderson and James Farentino. With a screenplay written by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett, the movie was initially banned as a “Video Nasty” in the UK in the early 80s, but was later acquitted of obscenity charges and removed from the Director of Public Prosecutions’ list.

As this is our 2nd birthday, the screening will include a live set by MOSCOW YOUTH CULT who will soundtrack your evening meal along with KNLBFRZD DJs. They promise a dirty and unique set to compliment the film.

We return once again to the wonderful Hand and Heart Pub who are kindly allowing us to take over their new Outside Terrace, upstairs dining and bar space and corner lounge.

Entrance is £4. Enjoyment is priceless.

Doors at 7pm. Dining tables will be in place so that people wishing to eat their evening meal upstairs can do so, accompanied by our own flavour of backgroud music.

Music starts 8pm.
Film starts 8:30pm.

It’s good to be out of the wilderness.

UPDATE: We have events booked and confirmed for December and January already. We’re here to stay.

Live Visuals #3

Those handsome chaps at Hello Thor and I Am Lono have kindly asked us to curate our third night of live visuals to accompany a night of music on Saturday 13th October 2012. We have some new equipment and software that promise this to be a more professional affair than our previous outings.

The line-up includes We Three and The Death Rattle, I Am Lono and Kagoule. All bands are worthy of your measly £4 and we can’t recommend it more highly.
